Edgard Leite Ferreira Neto is a prominent academic and administrator with extensive experience in higher education and research. Currently serving as a Member of the Superior Council at FAPERJ since January 2022, Edgard also holds the position of Undersecretary for Higher Education, Research, and Innovation at SECTI since December 2020, along with leading the Executive Management of the FAPERJ/SECTI/FBN Bicentennial Agreement. Additionally, Edgard is an active member of various scientific committees and councils, including the International Scientific Committee for the Cátedra de Estudos Globais in Lisbon and the Council of the State Archives of Rio de Janeiro. As President of the Brazilian Academy of Philosophy and a Professor at both Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro and Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, Edgard contributes significantly to the academic community. Edgard obtained a doctorate in History from Universidade Federal Fluminense between 1991 and 1995.
