Shantanu Mitra

Shantanu Mitra is an accomplished entrepreneur and expert in materials science, currently serving as Founder and CEO of FaradPower, Inc. since December 2013. Under Shantanu's leadership, FaradPower has focused on developing innovative materials for energy storage applications, notably in lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries, achieving several patents in the field. Alongside this role, Shantanu has been an active angel investor in various technology ventures, including advanced materials platforms and healthcare devices. Previously, Shantanu held senior marketing and sales positions at Broadcom Inc. and NetLogic Microsystems, as well as director roles at Infineon Technologies and Teraburst Networks. Shantanu's academic credentials include a PhD and M.S. in Materials Science from The University of Texas at Austin, and a B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
