Satish Sankaran has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences. Satish is currently working as the Chief Scientific Officer at Farcast Biosciences, a position they have held since June 2020. Satish also holds the role of VP (R&D) at the same company since September 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Director (R&D) at OncoStem Diagnostics Pvt Ltd from August 2018 to August 2019.

Satish Sankaran has a strong educational background in the field of Life Sciences. Satish obtained their PhD in Life Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru University, where they studied from 1996 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed their MSc in Biophysics, Molecular Biology and Genetics from Calcutta University, Kolkata, from 1994 to 1996. Their undergraduate studies were done at Presidency University, Kolkata, where they obtained their BSc in Physiology from 1991 to 1994.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Satish Sankaran has also obtained several certifications. Satish completed a course in Decision-Making Strategies and Scrum: The Basics from LinkedIn in March 2020. In November 2017, they became an Empanelled Assessor for Medical Genetics, certified by the National Accreditation Board for Testing & Calibration Laboratories. Satish also completed HIPAA training from InspiredeLearning.com in March 2015 and obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Exemplar Global in August 2015.
