Praveen Upreti

Praveen Upreti has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and network architecture. Praveen began their career at HCL Ltd. in 1987 as a Sr. Technical Support Engineer before moving on to work at the Center for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) as a Systems Engineer from 1990 to 1993. Praveen then joined Algosaibi GTB as a Network Architect until 1996. Praveen worked as a Network Consultant at ADCO from 1996 to 1998, where they played a key role in planning and implementing LAN migration projects. Praveen later served as a Network Architect at Telseon Inc. from 2000 to 2002, leading the core Network Design team in network planning and equipment evaluation. Praveen then joined IGATE as the VP of Technology & Information Security, where they formulated IT strategies and deployed effective service management frameworks until 2011. Praveen's next role was as the VP of Infrastructure Management at Xerox from 2014 to 2015, where they led IT infrastructure transformation initiatives and set up shared services centers. Currently, they work as the Sr. Director of IT Operations at Fareportal since 2017.

Praveen Upreti has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology - SMU. Praveen also completed the Management Development Program from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and holds a degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from BTE, Delhi. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications including BS25999 BCM Lead Auditor, BS7799 Lead Auditor, Business Continuity Certified Planner, Cloud Computing Foundation Certification, FORE ATM/LAN Certified Engineer, ITIL Foundation 2011, Mastering Business Continuity Practices, Microsoft Certified System Engineer, Patni Managerial Excellence Program, and Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
