George Wright

George Wright is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the retail and food sectors. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at FareShare UK since May 2023, George previously held the position of Commercial Director, Food at Marks and Spencer from April 2019 to May 2023. Prior to that, George worked at Tesco in various roles, including Commercial Director for Fresh Food, Strategy and Operations, and Convenience, Frozen, and Emerging Markets from March 2014 to August 2018. George's career also includes a tenure as General Manager at Coles Supermarkets from April 2010 to January 2014, and as Commercial Director at Phones4u from October 2007 to June 2009. Earlier in the career, George was Buying Director for Electrical & Home Technology and Head of Supplier Management at John Lewis Department Stores from May 2004 to October 2007. George Wright holds a BEng in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Glasgow.
