Katie Sadler has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Katie started their career in 2004 at North Tyneside VODA as an Information and Communications Worker, where they gained knowledge of the Voluntary and Community Sector and handled responsibilities such as maintaining the website and organizing promotional events. Katie then transitioned to the role of Development Worker, supporting Voluntary and Community Sector organizations in areas such as governance, funding, and business planning. In 2011, they joined Age UK as an Events Officer and eventually became a Senior Events Officer, overseeing high-profile events and providing event planning advice to colleagues. From 2014 to 2016, Katie worked as a Programme Manager for Knowledge Transfer at Age UK. In 2016, they joined FareShare UK as a Project Manager, overseeing the roll-out of the FareShare FoodCloud project in partnership with Tesco. Katie progressed within the organization, holding positions such as FareShare Go Programme Manager, FareShare Go Senior Programme Manager, and currently serving as the Head of FareShare Go.

Katie Sadler completed their education at Newcastle University from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a 2.1 degree in English Language and Literature. Prior to that, they attended Millom School in Cumbria from 1994 to 2001. Apart from their formal education, Katie Sadler also obtained a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from Scrum Alliance in August 2017.
