Asiimwe Caroline

Asiimwe Caroline has extensive experience in development programs focused on market-based approaches in Uganda, currently serving in the Markets and Value Chains role at Farm Africa since January 2021. With a long tenure at Swisscontact worldwide, Asiimwe has progressed from Market Development Officer for Inclusive Markets Uganda, where a portfolio of partnerships supporting over 17,000 smallholder farmers was managed, to Project Manager, facilitating initiatives that enhance the economic engagement of smallholder farmers and youth. Previous roles include Business Advisor for the East Africa Dairy Development Project at TechnoServe, where cooperative and market linkages for dairy farmers were established, and Junior Business Advisor, focusing on organizing banana farmers. Asiimwe's career began as a Research Intern at REEV Consult International, contributing to significant studies on poverty and water sanitation impacts. Asiimwe holds a Master’s degree in Agribusiness Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, both from Makerere University.
