Melkamsew Selomon

Melkamsew Selomon is an experienced media professional with a strong background in communication and radio production. Currently serving as a Media Advisor at Sheger FM station since November 2019, Melkamsew also hosts the Ymechish women radio program as a Media Consultant. With over eight years at Farm Africa as a Climate Information Communication Specialist, Melkamsew produces a weekly Maternal Child health program, 'Jember', focusing on rural communities. In addition, Melkamsew has been a Senior Producer and Trainer at BBC Media Action since February 2015, enhancing the capacity of FM station producers to create impactful agricultural radio content. Previous roles include radio producer at BBC Media Action and assistant producer at Radio Fana, along with managing a farm at Mua Enterprise. Melkamsew holds multiple degrees from Addis Ababa University, including a Master of Arts in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs.
