Amanda Schaeffer

Amanda Schaeffer's work experience includes serving as a Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Farm Credit Bank of Texas, where they provide legal advice and counsel on operational, technology, and regulatory compliance issues. Amanda also served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at the same company, as well as Vice President and Associate General Counsel. Prior to their time at Farm Credit Bank of Texas, they worked as an Associate General Counsel at EZCORP, handling legal affairs for the U.S. financial services division. Amanda also has experience as a Litigation Associate at Locke Lord LLP, representing clients in various industries. Additionally, they worked as a Contract Attorney at the Third Court of Appeals in Austin and as a Law Clerk to Chief Justice Wallace B. Jefferson at the Texas Supreme Court. Prior to their career in law, they taught as a Lecturer at The University of Texas School of Law, specializing in Legal Analysis & Communication and Persuasive Writing & Advocacy.

Amanda Schaeffer attended The University of Texas School of Law from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. Prior to that, they studied at Rutgers University from 1999 to 2003, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature.
