Krysten Dekker

Krysten Dekker is an experienced event management professional with a diverse background in planning and executing a variety of events. Since September 2020, Krysten has worked as a Meeting and Event Manager at Farm Credit Mid-America, overseeing conferences, team meetings, and company-wide events. Concurrently, Krysten has served as a Special Event Project Manager at Jefferson County Public Schools, focusing on Cheer and Dance events since September 2010. Previously, Krysten held the position of Senior Manager of Events at Churchill Downs, where responsibilities included managing high-profile events like The Kentucky Derby and corporate functions from April 2016 to September 2020. Additional experience includes roles as an Event Manager, Event Coordinator, and Freelance Sign Language Interpreter at various organizations. Krysten holds a BA in the Interpreter Training program from Eastern Kentucky University and a BS in Communications/Marketing from the University of Louisville.
