Ian Sherman

Ian Sherman is an experienced software and engineering professional currently serving as a Staff Engineer at farm-ng, where development focuses on vision navigation capabilities for a lunar lander mission under NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative. Prior to this, Ian held prominent roles at Formant as Head of Software, establishing a product roadmap for cloud infrastructure in robotics, and at X (formerly Google[x]) as a Staff Software Engineer, Tech Lead, and Manager, leading a team to create engineering tools for robotics. Additional experience includes serving as Lead Engineer at Bot & Dolly, contributing to custom robotics integrations for major clients, and working as a Software Developer at Castlight Health. Ian began a teaching career as a Computer Science Teacher at SMIC Private School and was a Head Teaching Assistant at Brown University, where education was completed with a degree from 2008.
