Cynthia von Schlichten

Cynthia von Schlichten currently serves as General Counsel and Director of Legal Affairs at Farm Sanctuary, where responsibilities include navigating legal challenges related to operational issues and advocacy litigation since December 2019. Prior to this role, Cynthia held the position of US Partnerships Manager at Compassion in World Farming, focusing on funding for programs and managing the planned giving program. Cynthia's legal experience also includes working as an attorney at various firms, handling cases in Social Security disability, personal injury, and civil litigation. Cynthia holds a Juris Doctor degree from Widener University Commonwealth Law School and a Master of Laws in Animal Law from Lewis & Clark Law School, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Music from Concordia College-New York.
