Laura Carter is an accomplished banking professional with extensive experience in loan operations and management. Currently serving as Vice President and Loan Operations Manager at Farmers Bank since September 2007, Laura has held various roles including Loan Underwriting and Assistant Vice President. Prior to this, Laura worked at Hiram Walker Allied Domecq from January 1991 to May 2015, where responsibilities included managing blending and processing operations for the U.S. operations and serving in roles such as New to Market Manager and Processing Manager. Laura began a career in similar roles at Pernod Ricard USA from 1981 to 2006. Academic credentials include a High School Diploma from Hanford High School and further education at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith between 1995 and 2002.

In 1907 some young influential business and professional people recognized that the financial needs of rural Sebastian County were not being met, so in 1907 Farmers Bank was organized. Today, during a time of mass mergers and takeovers, Farmers Bank is among the oldest banks in Arkansas still operating under its original charter as when it was organized and established. Farmers Bank is large enough to provide a multitude of financial services, yet small enough to provide personal banking to our customers.
