Mark Willey has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Mark started their career as an intern at Intel in 1993 and worked there until 1997. In 1999, they worked as an Engineer at Protectix and later became the Director of Technical Staff at Penguin Computing. At Protectix, they worked from October 1999 to December 2004. At Penguin Computing, they worked as Director of Technical Staff from June 1999 to September 1999.
In 2005, Mark joined SIMtone as a Software Engineer, where they primarily worked on creating software for networking connector modules and client/server network code. Mark stayed with the company until July 2008.
From 2008 to 2014, Mark worked at MokaFive as a Software Engineer and later was promoted to Software Engineering Manager. As a Software Engineer, they developed software for virtualized guest environments, host platforms, and the interface between them. As a Software Engineering Manager, they were responsible for coordinating between different teams to deliver feature and bugfix payloads.
In 2014, Mark joined HashFast Technologies as a Senior Staff Engineer and led a team of four engineers. Mark was involved in the development of firmware for a custom ASIC that accelerated Bitcoin mining. Mark also created firmware workarounds and built diagnostic and manufacturing test tools.
Mark's most recent work experience is with Farmer's Business Network, Inc., where they started as a Software Developer in May 2017 and was promoted to Software Engineering Manager in February 2021.
Mark Willey completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCmpE) from Purdue University from 1992 to 1997. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with a specialization in Computer Architecture from Stanford University from 1997 to 1999.
