Michael Link

Michael Link has a diverse work experience spanning across different industries. Michael started their career as an Ecological Representative at Oregon State University, where they promoted environmental programming and encouraged sustainable lifestyles among students. Michael then worked as an Earth Team Intern at USDA-NRCS, where they developed a photo point monitoring system and received GIS training.

Later, Michael joined the Texas Water Development Board as a Water Resources Intern, where they compared state water plans and documented measurable differences. Michael then worked as a Civil Engineer at AECOM, where they managed teams, conducted hydraulic modeling, and created data visualizations for innovative projects.

In 2020, Michael pursued a Data Science Fellowship at NYC Data Science Academy, acquiring skills in data strategy, Python and R development, machine learning, and advanced statistics. Michael also completed a project involving comprehensive analysis of NYC Citi Bike data to inform the creation of a bike share program.

Currently, Michael holds the position of Sr. Logistics & Warehousing Capacity Planning Analyst at Farmer's Business Network, Inc., where they utilize their analytical skills to optimize logistics and warehousing capacity.

Michael Link completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Ecological Engineering at Oregon State University from 2012 to 2016. During their undergraduate studies, they also participated in an exchange program at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 2015, focusing on Environmental Engineering. From 2016 to 2018, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Environmental and Water Resource Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, they obtained the certification as a Civil Engineer in Training from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers in April 2019. Prior to that, in September 2018, they earned the Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification from the Texas Floodplain Management Association.
