Michael Marriott

Michael Marriott is an experienced cloud and data engineer currently serving as the Lead Cloud and Data Engineer at Farmers Edge since July 2024. Previously, Michael worked at Planet as a Software Engineer, contributing to the Compute Team responsible for cloud computing infrastructure and software. Michael's career at Farmers Edge began in 2016, where roles included Software Developer - Cloud Service Manager and Senior Software Developer - Cloud Operations, focusing on data-driven insights in agriculture. Additional experience includes positions as a Junior Geophysicist at Precision GeoSurveys Inc., and various roles in field and labor work, demonstrating a robust background in both technical and operational aspects. Michael holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Waterloo, specializing in Geophysics and Earth Science.
