Peter Meyers has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Peter started their career at Security Pacific Bank in 1982, where they held various positions including Operations Officer and Assistant Vice President. In 1987, they joined First Interstate Bank as a Branch Manager, providing working capital loans and lines of credit to small business owners. From 1996 to 1998, they worked at Home Savings of America as a Vice President and Manager, focusing on small business lending and cash management. Peter then joined City National Bank in 1998 as a Vice President, specializing in small to middle market financial services. In 2005, they became a Senior Vice President and Manager at Security Bank of California, where they were a founding shareholder and involved in various committees. Currently, since 2013, Peter is serving as a First Vice President and Senior Commercial Lending Officer at Farmers & Merchants Bank of Long Beach, where they manage large commercial lending and commercial real estate transactions.
Peter Meyers obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Liberal Studies, with a double major, from Loyola Marymount University from 1978 to 1982. Peter continued their education by attending the University of San Francisco for one year, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown. In 2011, Peter Meyers enrolled in The Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, graduating in 2013 with a Graduate Program in Banking for Senior Officers, focusing on Commercial Lending, Enterprise Risk Management, and Leadership.
Additionally, Peter Meyers has acquired two certifications. In June 2007, they completed the Leadership Riverside Graduate program offered by the City of Riverside. In March 2022, they obtained an Executive Leadership Certificate from the University of Washington Foster School of Business Executive Education.
