Mark Nicastro is the current Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Farmers National Bank. Before taking on this role, Mark was the Vice President-Regional Human Resources Manager at Sky Bank from December 2004 to July 2007. In this position, Mark managed the Regional Human Resources Team and provided strategic and tactical advice to Senior Managers and staff on all Human Resources matters. Mark's primary duties consisted of Employee Relations, Recruitment & Retention, and Coaching & Training.

For Employee Relations, Mark's primary goal was to promote career development, prevent and/or resolve employee issues regarding policy and procedure, and provide advice regarding management issues. Mark also conducted investigations, resolved unemployment cases, and handled initial responses to legal claims.

In terms of Recruitment & Retention, Mark was responsible for hiring and retaining high-level talent within the company. Mark developed and implemented flexible recruitment plans to meet the needs of hiring managers while staying within budget.

Finally, as part of their Coaching & Training duties, Mark developed their staff as well as educated and trained managers on interviewing skills, conflict resolution, documentation, legal updates, and general management techniques.

Mark Nicastro has a MBA in Human Resources from The University of Toledo and a BS in Industrial Management from The University of Akron.
