Lana Bittman

Lana Bittman is an accomplished academic and librarian with extensive experience in the field of library and information science. Currently serving as the Associate Professor and Head of Periodicals & Electronic Resource Services at the Fashion Institute of Technology since August 2008, Bittman has previously held positions at the Whitney Museum of American Art as a Librarian and at the City University of New York as a Cataloger. Bittman's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Fashion and Textile Studies from the Fashion Institute of Technology, a Master of Library and Information Science from Rutgers University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. Additionally, Bittman's early career includes roles such as Photo Researcher at Getty Images and Publicity Assistant at Penguin Putnam.
