Michael Ferraro serves as the Executive Director of the FIT DTech Lab and Creative Director of the Center for Innovation at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where efforts focus on integrating technology and design to transform the design and retail sectors. With a strong background in digital media, Ferraro previously held the role of Creative Director at Possible Worlds, Inc., where innovative projects included the development of the Kabuki™ animation performance system and collaborations with major networks. As an Associate Professor at Lehman College, Ferraro directed digital media curriculum development and contributed to the field of animation and interactive design. Early in the career, Ferraro worked at Blue Sky Studios as VP of Systems Architecture, designing groundbreaking programming for 3D animation. Ferraro holds an MFA in Studio Art from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and multiple Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees from Syracuse University in Art and Technology.
