Svanika Balasubramanian

Svanika Balasubramanian is a seasoned entrepreneur and leader in sustainability, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of rePurpose Global, a platform dedicated to addressing the plastic waste crisis by uniting various stakeholders to take actionable steps against plastic footprints. Since August 2017, Svanika has led initiatives that assist over 300 companies in their sustainability efforts. Additionally, Svanika is an Impact Council Member at Fast Company, contributing to business and social impact discussions, and holds a role as an Investor and Entrepreneur Partner at Aeravti Ventures, focusing on early-stage companies in India. As a Co-Convener of the Innovation Alliance for a Global Plastics Treaty, Svanika champions the advancement of innovative solutions aimed at achieving zero plastic pollution by 2040. Previous professional experiences include roles in journalism, consulting, and financial analysis, with a solid academic background in economics from The Wharton School.
