Juan Carlos Holguin has worked in various roles since 2002. Juan Carlos was the Founder of Futbolecuador.com in 2002 and the Marketing and Commercial Manager of Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito in 2003. In 2005, they became the Founder-Partner in Ecuador and Colombia of Zed - Netpeople and Partner of Dayscript Ltda. In 2006, they were the General Manager Sports Division of Teleamazonas. From 2008 to 2020, they were the Founder and Managing Partner of Grupo Link, a Mobile and Digital services provider. In 2020, they became the Co-Founder of FastFarma.

Juan Carlos Holguin began their educational journey in 1989 at the Deutsche Schule Quito, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences in 2001. In 2003, they earned a B.A. in Communication from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, with a focus on Corporative Communication, Public Relationships, and Social Marketing. In 2007, they completed a Posgrado en Management del Deporte from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina 'Santa María de los Buenos Aires'. From 2009 to 2011, they completed an MA in Public Policy and Development from Georgetown University, focusing on Public Policy. As of 2016, they are a Phd Candidate in Government at the University of Navarra.
