Akil Murali

Akil Murali has a diverse work experience in product management and security. They most recently worked at Fastly as the Senior Director of Product Management, focusing on Edge and App Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Security Research. Prior to that, they were employed at Palo Alto Networks as part of the Cloud Security Product Management team. Before that, Akil worked at Qubole as the Senior Director of Product Management for Data Platform Governance, Security, and Privacy. They also held a position at Informatica as the Director of Data Security and Governance Product Management. Akil began their career at Symantec as a Group Product Manager in the Information Security Business Unit and later worked as a Business Consultant at Accenture.

Akil Murali has a diverse education history. In 2013, they attended the HKUST Business School and completed the Leading for Success Executive Program, which covered topics such as leadership, strategy, change management, marketing, and operations.

In addition to this program, Akil also pursued studies at various other institutions. Akil enrolled in the UCLA Anderson School of Management for a Mergers & Acquisitions Executive Program. Here, they gained knowledge in areas like valuation, negotiation, due diligence, integration, tax & accounting, LBO, and private equity.
