Ines Sombra

Ines Sombra is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and data management. Currently serving as VP of Engineering for Core Systems at Fastly since September 2014, Ines previously held the position of Sr Director of Engineering for Data Engineering. Prior to Fastly, Ines worked at Engine Yard as Lead Data Engineer, managing the data storage platform and strategy. Ines's career also includes roles such as Web Consultant for Arthur J. Gallagher, where web applications were developed for Errors and Omissions insurance programs, and Senior Web Developer for Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. Earlier positions include Data Architect at Drury University and Support Specialist at Universidad Blas Pascal. Ines holds multiple degrees, including a Masters in Computer Science and a Masters in Information Management from Washington University in St. Louis, and is currently pursuing a Certificate of Business Excellence from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
