Toby Burton's work experience includes various roles in finance and leadership positions. Toby started their career at Unilever, where they worked in different finance roles from 2001 to 2007. In 2007, they joined The Economist as a Senior Business Accountant and later took on several finance and management positions within the company. Toby served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Publisher Team and Global Circulation, Finance Director for Global Circulation Analysis, Head of Finance for Economist Digital, and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis. In 2009, they became the Business Financial Analysis Manager for Continental Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Toby also worked at Euromoney Institutional Investor and Fastmarkets as a Divisional CFO / COO and Chief Financial and Operating Officer, respectively.
Toby Burton attended UCL from 1999 to 2001, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics with Management Studies. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1997, they studied at Ecole International Le Verseau, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. Additionally, Toby obtained a certification in CIMA from the institution of the same name in May 2006.
