Omotunde Babalola has a diverse work experience in the field of quality assurance and operations. They started their career as a Research Engineer at the Hospital for Special Surgery in 2002. Then, they pursued a PhD at Cornell University from 2004 to 2010.
Following their education, Omotunde joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 2010, where they held various roles including Technical Operations Research Associate, Manager of Quality Operations External Manufacturing, Associate Director of Compliance, and Associate Director of Quality Assurance and Disposition. They worked in these positions until 2018 when they transitioned to The New York Stem Cell Foundation as the Director of Quality Assurance.
In 2018, Omotunde joined Kite Pharma and served as the Director of Quality Assurance for Clinical/Commercial Manufacturing Operations and later as the Director of Quality Control.
Currently, Omotunde is a part of Fate Therapeutics Inc as the Executive Director of Quality Assurance and subsequently promoted to the position of Vice President of Quality Assurance in 2023.
Omotunde Babalola holds a BSc in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester. They also have a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University.
