Scott Werwath

Scott Werwath is an experienced software engineer with a background in machine learning and distributed computing. Scott has held a variety of roles since 2016, starting with an Academic Intern at the University of California, Berkeley, followed by a Research Developer at the UC Berkeley Energy & Resources Group and Software Engineering Internships at SolarCity, Google, and Facebook. From 2017-2019, they worked as a Software Engineer at The Human Diagnosis Project, and currently serves as Engineering Team Lead and Software Engineer at Fathom. In their roles, Scott has created online statistical models, overhauled recommendations engines, rewritten core parts of mobile apps and backend APIs, designed and built centralized services, developed NLP techniques, written large-scale data processing pipelines, developed integrated assessment modeling libraries, and trained students in core engineering skills.

Scott Werwath earned their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley between 2015 and 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from Collegiate School in 2012.
