Barrie Heptonstall has had a varied career in the technology and investment sectors. Barrie began their career in 1990 at IBM, where they held various roles including Systems Engineer, Account Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Director, Business Unit Executive, and Mainframe Sales Leader. In 2006, they founded Greyfriars House, a Grade II* listed mansion and wedding venue in the Surrey Hills. In 2012, they became an Angel Investor in over 60 technology companies, specializing in B2B SaaS, edtech, and proptech. In 2014, they joined Emerge Education as a Venture Partner. In 2016, they became an Advisory Board Member for Crehana. In 2017, they became a Non Executive Director for FaultFixers. In 2020, they joined Pi Labs as a Venture Partner and Wealthi as a Board Advisor. In 2021, they became the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for Small Robot Company. Finally, in 2022, they joined Enterprise 100 Ltd as a Member and Angel Investor.

Barrie Heptonstall has a diverse educational background. Barrie obtained an MBA with Distinction from The University of Manchester in 1998 and a BEng(Hons), Joint Honours in Computer Science and Electronics from The University of Edinburgh in 1990.
