Martha Muhwezi

Martha Muhwezi is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in educational and gender advocacy, serving as the Executive Director of the Forum For Educational Women Educationists (FAWE) Africa since February 2008. Martha has held various key positions within FAWE, including Regional Program Officer, Head of Programs, and previously served as the Executive Director of FAWE Uganda Chapter, where leadership focused on integrating gender into national education policies. Prior to FAWE, Martha contributed to Christian Children's Fund and Kireka Family Helper Project, managing programs and providing critical support for vulnerable populations. Martha holds a PhD in Gender Studies from the University of Nairobi, a Master's degree in Women and Gender Studies from Makerere University, and a Bachelor's degree in Education from the same institution.
