Seif Coutry

A Commercial and investment banking executive with more than 30 years of international and local professional banking experience. Mr. Coutry is currently the Chairman and CEO of Capital Trust – Financial and Economic Consultancy House.

Formerly, Mr. Coutry was the Founder, Chairman & Managing Director of United Bank of Egypt (1996 – 2003), after serving as Vice President and Director of Bank of America, London, in charge of Europe, Middle East, and Africa Banking Division for 8 years (1987 – 1995). Mr. Coutry started his banking career in 1975 with Chase National Bank.

Capitalizing on his banking career and achievements, Mr. Coutry was chosen to assume the job of Advisor to the Minister of Finance of Egypt for Tax Administration Reform & Modernization. During his assignment, he was additionally responsible for the Large Tax Payer Center and the Executive Director of the integration project of the Egyptian Tax Authority (2004 – 2007).

Mr. Coutry is also the Chairman of the Egyptian Railway Project & Transport Company (Ministry of Transport Company). Mr. Coutry also serves as a board member in several corporations including Raya Holding, The Egyptian Catering and Contracting Company, and Ramada Pharmaceuticals Company.
