Dr. Soraya Matthews

Dr. Soraya Matthews is an accomplished educational leader and entrepreneur currently serving as the CEO of EVOLVE Investment Ventures, LLC and the Chief Officer for the Office of Unity, Belonging, and Student Efficacy at Fayette County Public Schools since 2016. With extensive experience in grant management, overseeing over $200 million in district grants, and leading innovative educational programs, Dr. Matthews has fulfilled various roles including Director of Secondary Teaching and Learning and prior teaching positions. Previous leadership roles include serving as a State Schools Administrator for the Kentucky Department of Education and as Principal and CTE Director for the Kentucky School for the Deaf. Dr. Matthews holds a Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Instructional Design from the University of Kentucky and a certification in Superintendency and Educational System Administration from Eastern Kentucky University.
