Michael Foland is a seasoned law enforcement professional with extensive experience in various police and sheriff's departments. Currently serving as a Patrol Officer with the Denver Police Department since August 2022, Michael has also held the position of Deputy Sheriff/Reserve and EMA Coordinator at the Fayette County Sheriff's Office since May 2011. Prior roles include Deputy Sheriff and Detective at the Winneshiek Sheriff's Office from August 2016 to May 2022, as well as Lieutenant and Interim Chief in West Union, Iowa, from February 2015 to August 2016. Michael's earlier experiences include serving as a Patrol Officer with the Jesup Police Department and working as a Project Engineer at Geater Machining & Mfg. Fayette County is located south of Columbus, north of Cincinnati and east of Dayton, centrally located to all three major cities. Stanforth, Sheriff has been the Sheriff in Fayette County since 1997. He continues to provide strong leadership for the office today.
