Joel V.

Joel V. is an accomplished leader in the electric utility industry with over 40 years of experience, currently serving as the Director of Substations and Electric Support Services at Fayetteville Public Works Commission since July 2013. In this role, Joel V. oversees a diverse team of twenty-two employees and manages the operations of thirty electric distribution substations, as well as interconnections with Duke Energy. Prior to this position, Joel V. held various leadership roles, including Manager of Engineering & Operations at Carroll Electric Cooperative and Principal/Partner at Power System Engineering. Joel V.'s extensive career encompasses a wide range of technical and managerial responsibilities, including project management, engineering, operations oversight, and community engagement. Joel V. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Management from DeVry University.
