David Herman

David Herman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in patent law and research. As a Senior Associate at FB Rice since January 2015, David has progressed through various roles including Associate, Patent Attorney, and Trainee Patent Attorney. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The MacDiarmid Institute, focusing on pharmaceuticals, magnetic nanoparticles, and hybrid nanostructures, alongside involvement in the early-stage R&D of a spin-off company. David holds a PhD in Chemistry from Victoria University of Wellington and has a strong foundation in organic and inorganic chemistry, drug delivery systems, and nanoparticle synthesis. Additionally, David completed a Master of Intellectual Property Law at the University of Melbourne and has multiple degrees in chemistry and biomedical science from Victoria University of Wellington.
