Irina Bernebring Journiette

Irina Bernebring Journiette is an experienced journalist and election observer with a strong background in media and human rights. Currently serving as the Nyhetschef at LOKALTIDNINGEN MEDIACENTER SVERIGE AB since January 2020, Irina has also been involved in international election observation missions with FBA since June 2017, participating in local elections in Albania and Uzbekistan. Previous roles include reporting for Tidningen Hallå AB and HD-Sydsvenskan, as well as serving as a Human Rights Observer in Palestine under the World Council of Churches. Irina has also held positions at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific as a communications officer trainee and has completed multiple degrees in journalism, communication for development, theology, and peace studies from various universities.

FBA (Folke Bernadotte Academy)

The Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) is the Swedish government agency for peace, security and development. FBA supports international peace operations and international development cooperation. The agency conducts training, research and method development in order to strengthen peacebuilding and statebuilding in conflict and post-conflict countries. We also recruit civilian personnel and expertise for peace operations and election observation missions led by the EU, UN and OSCE. The agency is named after Count Folke Bernadotte, the first UN mediator. Here on Linkedin we share the latest news from our activities.
