Rebecca Palmer

Election Observer at FBA (Folke Bernadotte Academy)

Rebecca Palmer is an experienced election observer associated with the FBA (Folke Bernadotte Academy), OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), and the European Commission since 2017. Prior to this, Rebecca served as an international project leader volunteer at Yuwalaya - Youth Resource Center, focusing on development and support in post-earthquake Nepal. Rebecca has also worked with Malmö stad as a behandlingassistent/integrationsassistent, providing support to unaccompanied youth, and has a background in project management, program coordination, and writing consultancy. Education credentials include a Master of Science in Social Anthropology and Global Studies from Lund University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado Boulder.

FBA (Folke Bernadotte Academy)

The Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) is the Swedish government agency for peace, security and development. FBA supports international peace operations and international development cooperation. The agency conducts training, research and method development in order to strengthen peacebuilding and statebuilding in conflict and post-conflict countries. We also recruit civilian personnel and expertise for peace operations and election observation missions led by the EU, UN and OSCE. The agency is named after Count Folke Bernadotte, the first UN mediator. Here on Linkedin we share the latest news from our activities.
