Tobias Petrelius has extensive experience in climate security and peace mediation, currently serving as Senior Climate Security Coordinator at the Folke Bernadotte Academy since August 2015. Previous roles include Conflict Resolution and Mediation Specialist at Monusco-UN, Technical Adviser at the Life & Peace Institute, and various positions within the Swedish Armed Forces, including Desk Officer and Intern. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from Stockholm University and a Basic Officers Course in Naval Logistics from Militärhögskolan Karlberg.

The Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) is the Swedish government agency for peace, security and development. FBA supports international peace operations and international development cooperation. The agency conducts training, research and method development in order to strengthen peacebuilding and statebuilding in conflict and post-conflict countries. We also recruit civilian personnel and expertise for peace operations and election observation missions led by the EU, UN and OSCE. The agency is named after Count Folke Bernadotte, the first UN mediator. Here on Linkedin we share the latest news from our activities.
