Johan Vlekken

Johan Vlekken has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Johan began their career as a PhD student at Hasselt University in 1993 and completed their doctoral studies in 1998. From 1999 to 2001, they worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the same university. In 2003, Vlekken joined FOS&S as Chief Technology Officer, where they held the position until 2011. During this time, they also worked as the Chief Technology Officer at FBGS starting in 2011 and played a crucial role in their technological advancements. Vlekken then transitioned to Brussels Photonics Team in 2010, where they served as the Business Development Manager. Additionally, they started their own company called Teknostix BV in 2010 and acted as the owner. The breadth of their experience highlights their expertise in technology, business development, and research.

Johan Vlekken began their education in 1989 when they enrolled in Universiteit Hasselt to pursue a Bachelor of Physics degree. Johan successfully completed this program in 1991. Following this, from 1991 to 1993, it is unclear where Johan Vlekken studied. However, in 1993, they resumed their education at Universiteit Hasselt to pursue a PhD in Applied Science with a focus on Physics. This program lasted from 1993 to 1998. Post their PhD, Johan Vlekken pursued a Postgraduate degree in Business Administration from 1999 to 2001 at Universiteit Hasselt.
