Joan Laporta Estruch

Joan Laporta Estruch serves as the President of FC Barcelona since March 2021, previously holding the same position from June 2003 to June 2010, where significant changes were implemented to enhance the club's economic and social standing. As a partner and founder of the law firm Laporta & Arbós Advocats Associats since July 1988, Joan Laporta leads a team specializing in various areas of law, providing integrated services primarily aimed at enterprises. In public service, Joan Laporta was a City Councilor for Barcelona from May 2011 to May 2015 and served as a Deputy in the Parliament of Catalonia from November 2010 to 2012, during which time a new political party, Democràcia Catalana, was founded. Educational qualifications include a Licenciado in Derecho from Universitat de Barcelona and further studies at Universitat Abat Oliba CEU.
