Discipline Lead - Civil/structural Engineering at F&C Engineers

Oswaldo Russian, Ph.D., P.E. is an experienced civil/structural engineer with a Ph.D. in this field. Oswaldo has worked in various roles and organizations throughout their career. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Project Engineer at Inelectra. In 2015, they interned as a Structural Engineering Intern at IHI E&C International Corporation and later that year, they worked as a Research Associate at the University of Houston until 2021. From 2015 to 2016, they worked again as a Structural Engineering Intern at IHI E&C International Corporation. In 2018, they briefly worked as a Researcher at the Federal Highway Administration. In 2021, they joined Thornton Tomasetti as a Senior Engineer in Applied Science and later became the Project Engineer in charge of all Precast Concrete vendor products for the Golden Pass LNG Export Terminal. Oswaldo then moved on to become the Discipline Lead in Civil/Structural Engineering at F&C Engineers starting in 2023. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in project management, communication, and coordinating between different teams.

Oswaldo Russian, Ph.D., P.E. completed their education in the field of Civil Engineering. Oswaldo earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Universidad Rafael Urdaneta between 2009 and 2013. Oswaldo then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Houston from 2014 to 2016. Following that, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Civil Engineering from the same institution between 2016 and 2020. Additionally, they completed a Certificate program in High-Performance Computing in 2020. Oswaldo Russian also holds additional certifications such as the Professional Engineer (PE) from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in 2022, and they obtained an Engineer In Training certification from NCEES in 2021.
