Marcel Groothof

Marcel Groothof has extensive experience in coaching and organizational roles within the sports and education sectors. As Keeperscoach for FC Groningen since July 2020, Marcel is responsible for the goalkeeper training for the youth teams 016, 018, and 021, focusing on development through performance, athletic movement, and professional athlete living. Marcel also emphasizes video analysis and standard situations in training. Additionally, since July 2009, Marcel has been an HR Advisor for Vitality & Absenteeism at DUO, managing various operational roles including planning and production control. Marcel also owns Keepersschool Onder de Lat, established in September 2017, which offers private and group training for goalkeepers, along with clinics and equipment sales. Marcel holds a degree in Leadership from Hanze and has completed courses at Friesland College CIOS Heerenveen and Noorderpoort College Groningen.
