Sebastian Gärtner

Sebastian Gärtner has gained extensive work experience in various roles. Sebastian started their career as a professional football player for 1.FC Nürnberg, taking part in matches at the U13 to U19 level, as well as playing in the club's U23 and being a part of the first team in the Bundesliga. Sebastian then moved to 1.FSV Mainz 05 as a contracted player before joining SV Waldhof Mannheim. In 2018, Gärtner transitioned into the business side of sports, starting as a Junior Manager Marketing for 1.FC Nürnberg. Sebastian later worked as a Project Manager and a Referent des Vorstands, being responsible for decision-making support, contract management, and coordination of board-related matters. Alongside their professional experiences, Gärtner also served as a lecturer at the University of Applied Management, teaching modules in sport management.

Sebastian began their academic journey at Bertolt-Brecht Gymnasium Nürnberg, where they obtained their Abitur in an unspecified field of study in 2011. Following this, they enrolled at Hochschule für angewandtes Management, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sportmanagement from 2011 to 2016.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Sebastian Gärtner went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Sportmanagement at the University of Bayreuth from 2016 to 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Sebastian Gärtner has also obtained various certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2016, they earned the certification of Sport Business Pro from SMAB GmbH. The following year, they achieved the titles of Senior Sport Business Expert and Sport Business Expert, also from SMAB GmbH.

Furthermore, Sebastian Gärtner has obtained several certifications related to SAP Business ByDesign.
