Sjoerd Wolthers

Sjoerd Wolthers has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Sjoerd started their career at Medistad in 1991 as a Consultant, where they set up systems for ISO 9001 certification and production control. Sjoerd then worked as a Consultant for ARCASIS GPI Curacao and as an IT developer for Medistad before joining Konica Minolta for a research project.

In 1999, they joined Yacht Technology as a Project Leader, managing telecom network migrations and cost reduction projects. In 2001, they became a Project Leader at KPN, responsible for efficiency improvement programs and the implementation of Oracle ERP.

From 2004 to 2010, Wolthers held various Senior Manager positions at KPN, including Enterprise Supply Chain IT, Architecture & Planning Enterprise IT, and Processes & ICT. Sjoerd was responsible for innovation, management, and outsourcing of IT development.

In 2011, they joined Atos Consulting as a Principal/Senior Manager, leading change projects for large companies in the Telecom, Media, Energy, and Utilities sectors. Sjoerd also served as the Customer Management Lead in the Netherlands.

From 2013 to 2015, Wolthers worked at Ahold as the Manager of IT Change Delivery and later as the Manager of Service Integration.

In 2016, they joined XS4ALL Internet BV as the CTO/COO, managing all technology aspects of the internet service provider. Sjoerd was responsible for network/internet, product technology, infrastructure, data analytics, security, and privacy.

Since 2019, Wolthers has been working at FD Mediagroep as the CIO, overseeing ICT, infrastructure, security, business intelligence, and data services.

Throughout their career, Wolthers has demonstrated leadership, budget management, and project management skills while working in various industries.

Sjoerd Wolthers attended RSG Enkhuizen from 1985 to 1991, where they obtained a degree in VWO Beta. Following this, they pursued their education at Inholland University of Applied Sciences from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a degree in HTS Technical Business Science. Finally, they attended the University of Groningen from 1995 to 1998, completing their education with a degree in Business Science.
