Maya Stewart

Maya Stewart has a long and varied work experience. In 2008, they began their career as an Image and Design Assistant (Intern) at Matthew Williamson. Maya then moved on to Judith Leiber in 2010 as a Design Assistant (Intern). In 2011, they became Creative Director at Jill Milan, followed by the same role at B Low The Belt in 2012. In 2013, they were appointed Chief Design Officer at Virgil James, and then Design Consultant at Harlen Collection in 2015. From 2016 to 2021, they worked as a Freelance Handbag Designer/Creative Director/Consultant. In 2021, they became Senior Handbag and Footwear Designer at ANINE BING, and in 2022 they were appointed Senior Director of Technical Design for Footwear and Accessories at Fear of God.

Maya Stewart attended London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a BA (Honors) in Cordwainers Accessories. Maya is also currently attending Otis College of Art and Design.
