Associate Director of Talent Strategy at Feathr

Kaitlyn McGowan has several years of experience in talent acquisition and human resources. Kaitlyn currently works at Feathr as the Associate Director of Talent Strategy, where they participate in strategic discussions, drives talent acquisition initiatives, and informs the company's strategic direction through understanding the talent market. Prior to this, they were the Talent Acquisition Lead at Feathr, managing full-cycle recruiting processes and collaborating with company leaders for hiring roadmaps. Kaitlyn has also worked at Gas South as a Recruiter, where they drove company growth by identifying and hiring high-performing talent. Kaitlyn previously worked at Infinite Energy as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, where they attracted and developed candidates and collaborated with leadership on talent acquisition strategies. Earlier in their career, Kaitlyn was a Talent Strategy Manager at Feathr, where they sourced qualified candidates and implemented recruitment strategies. Kaitlyn also served as the People Operations Manager (HR) at Feathr, creating the foundation for the HR organization and implementing pay philosophy and performance evaluations. Kaitlyn's earlier experience includes roles as an Operations Manager and an Event Planner. Kaitlyn began their career as a Preschool Teacher, demonstrating their skills in social and intellectual development.

Kaitlyn McGowan's education history begins in 2010 when they attended Florida Atlantic University. During their time there, they pursued a degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education and completed their studies in 2012, earning an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree. Afterward, they transferred to the University of Florida, where they focused on English, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Kaitlyn has also obtained several certifications. In 2018, they completed a Business Administration, Human Resources Certificate from Santa Fe College. In 2020, they became a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) after achieving certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Kaitlyn further expanded their knowledge and skills by obtaining certifications in various fields in 2022. Kaitlyn acquired a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, a Talent Management Certificate from LinkedIn, and a Certified Talent Acquisition Specialist designation from AIHR | Academy to Innovate HR.
