Lies Gilis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Starting in 2014, they worked as a Medewerker at 30CC until September 2016. In 2016, they also interned as a Communication Intern at Oxfam-Solidariteit. From September 2016 to January 2018, they served as a Project Coordinator at Be Culture - SPCC, where they specialized in cultural communication campaigns. Currently, they hold the position of Adjunct-woordvoerder & sociale media at Fedasil, where they focus on organizing the reception of asylum seekers in Belgium.
Lies Gilis completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Communication Sciences from KU Leuven in 2011-2014. Lies then pursued a Master's degree in Communication Sciences from the same university, graduating in 2014-2015. Afterward, they furthered their education by earning a Master's degree in Cultures and Development Studies from KU Leuven in 2015-2016.
