Kristi Ponozzo

Kristi Ponozzo currently serves as the Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Helena, Montana, a role held since June 2019. Prior to this position, Kristi worked at the Montana Department of Environmental Quality, where responsibilities included Public Policy Director and Montana Environmental Policy Act Coordinator from September 2011 to June 2019. Experience also includes serving as a Public Affairs Officer with the U.S. Forest Service from 1998 to November 2011 and as Communications Director for the Montana Wilderness Association from 2010 to September 2011. Kristi holds a Master's degree in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law and Graduate School (2005-2007) and a degree in Communications from the University of Idaho (1998-2001).
