Carlos Cordeiro

Carlos Cordeiro is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in wireless communications and standards development. Currently a member of the Technological Advisory Council at the Federal Communications Commission since February 2024, Cordeiro has held numerous significant roles within the IEEE, including Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Communications Standards Magazine and IEEE Fellow. Cordeiro's contributions to the Wi-Fi Alliance as a member of the Board of Directors and various leadership positions in the 60 GHz Marketing Technical Group highlight expertise in developing WiGig certification programs. As an Intel Fellow, Cordeiro has served as CTO for Wireless Communications, overseeing critical advancements in the field. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a BS/MS in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco.
