Jonathan Lechter

Jonathan Lechter is an experienced attorney specializing in telecommunications policy and regulation. Currently serving as an Attorney in the Competition Policy Division of the Federal Communications Commission since January 2021, Jonathan has previously held various roles within the agency, including Deputy Division Chief in the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau and Special Counsel in the Telecommunications Access Policy Division. Jonathan's expertise extends to regulatory compliance and advocacy, demonstrated during tenure at Tata Communications as Legal Counsel for Regulatory and Product. Jonathan began a legal career at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP as a Senior Associate, focusing on competition policy matters for telecommunications companies. Jonathan holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor’s degree in American History from Columbia University.
