Brian Friel

Brian Friel is an experienced professional with a strong background in financial examination and administration. Currently serving as a Financial Institution Examiner and Financial Institution Specialist at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) since June 2017, Brian has developed significant expertise in assessing financial institutions. Prior experience includes a decade-long tenure in the United States Marine Corps from September 1996 to September 2016, where Brian held the position of Administration Chief, providing strategic advice to executive-level staff and creating a comprehensive database for personnel management. Earlier roles include a cashier position at Thrift Drug from 1994 to 1996. Brian Friel holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and an Associate of Arts in Business Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, as well as a high school diploma from Kennedy Kenrick Catholic High School.
